We are a hands-on clinic with a focus on one-on-one manual therapy, real-time ultrasound imaging for core stability, dry needling and personalised exercise prescription for sports injuries and work related conditions.

Raymond Kastropil

Ray graduated from Curtin University in 1996 and spent two years working at Fremantle Hospital whilst employed at Western Knights Soccer Club as the team physiotherapist. He further developed his skills in musculoskeletal physiotherapy during five years in the UK, during which he enjoyed a four year stint as physiotherapist to the Metropolitan Police Service of London. Ray returned to Perth in 2003, continuing his passion for musculoskeletal physiotherapy and became joint principal at South Fremantle Physiotherapy in 2005. Ray enjoys complementing his manual therapy skills with dry needling and Real-Time Ultrasound Imaging.


Peter James

After graduating in 1992, Peter spent two years working at Sports Medicine St John of God Subiaco, before working as a locum physiotherapist throughout the UK for two and a half years. Peter then travelled Western Australia and after a six month locum in Broome, spent a year in New Zealand completing a postgraduate in Manipulative Physiotherapy before moving to Dunsborough and opening his own practice. Peter relocated to Fremantle in 2003 running the outpatient on-site physiotherapy department for Notre Dame University, until becoming joint principal at South Fremantle Physiotherapy in 2005. Peter enjoys the variety of private practice clients, in particular helping lower back pain sufferers manage their conditions, using Real-Time Ultrasound Imaging of their core muscles with hands on therapy, progressing to their own exercise regime.


Rob Harper

Rob has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, as well as a Diploma of Health Science-Massage. In 2017 he completed his postgraduate Masters Degree in Clinical Physiotherapy, majoring in Sport. Rob was previously the Head Trainer for the Fremantle Dockers, a position he held for several years, before stepping aside to focus on studying in the health sciences field. He has completed relayed courses on advanced methods of mobilising joint with movement, as well as dry needling. Rob is a life member of Cottesloe Rugby Union Club and City Beach Surf Club. He has played over 300 first grade games, represented WA over an eight year period and was awarded the prestigious PG Hampshire trophy for the Fairest and Best player in the Western Australian Rugby union. In the surf club, Rob won numerous club awards for distance running events as well as a number of state titles in surf boats and beach events. Rob is also a keen runner, completing several marathons, one under three hours, and half marathons as well as annual local races. Rob and his wife Jenny are keen trekkers and have hiked to Everest Base Camp in the Himalayas and through the Andes to Machu Picchu as well as walking the Cinque Terra, Amalfi Coast in Italy, Camino in Spain and the Coast to Coast in northern England. In 2019 they completed the beautiful Tokyo to Kyoto journey through the Japanese mountains. Rob completed two voluntary tours of duty with Equal Health with other health professionals, providing a range of medical services to the poor and disadvantaged people in the state of Tamil Nadu in southern India. Rob loves the challenge of helping others be their best and lead exciting, challenging, active and fulfilling personal, family and team lives~
